Sewing Program for Adults (age 18 and up)
Whether you are an absolute beginner or have previous sewing experience, we have the right program to cater to your needs. Each course is designed to help you build solid sewing techniques which will prepare you for the next level.

Intermediate Sewing
Perfect if you have experience operating a sewing machine, and have had experience working with a simple commercial pattern such as pajama pants.
Once you had completed both levels of sewing classes, you can develop your skill further by taking one of our courses in our Speciality classes and workshops!

BEGINNER SEWING
If you have never sewn before, thread a needle, or held a thimble than this is the class for you. Master your fear of machines! In this course, you'll learn the fundamental stitches and how to use a needle, and work on small projects to increase your level of comfort with the sewing machine and serger. Students learn various types of hand stitching and seam finishing, how to use commercial patterns, how to take a full set of measurements, basic zipper applications, and how to prepare different types of fabrics.
You will apply all these basic sewing techniques to your project. Ladies can create a SIMPLE SKIRT, PANTS, or SHORTS and gentlemen can create simple pants or shorts (or a skirt if you like!).
Our students also work on small starter projects, one of which is making beds for dogs and cats at animal shelters around the city.
No sewing skills required. Perfect for absolute beginners or for those who want to learn proper sewing techniques. Each session runs for five weeks. All Adults classes are held at 2156 Yonge street location unless indicated otherwise. INTERMEDIATE SEWING - THE PERFECT FIT
Choose the garment you want to make to add to your wardrobe. Your project could be a shirt, pants, or a dress. In this course, you will learn intermediate techniques such as applying sleeves, zippers, proper fitting, basic pattern alteration and finishing tricks. These are the skills you will need to make the fabulous, stylish clothing you want. Challenge yourself, gain confidence and get the perfect fit! You pick the pattern, so the possibilities are endless.
Note: students will learn the techniques from the sample we provide in addition to their projects.
If you sign up for Intermediate Sewing following your Beginner Sewing Class, you will receive 15% off the course fee. If if you have already taken the Intermediate Sewing you can take it as many times as you like at a 25% discount. Build your skills at this level by rendering a new garment.
