If you are between 8 and 13 and are itching to stitch, this sewing class is for you. You will learn the basics: hand stitching and how to use a sewing machine. You get to choose your own project to practice the basics. Your practice will help you start to perfect your ability to use a commercial pattern, and then to fit, construct and finish a garment.

Fashion Creation for Tweens - Level 1
Now that you know the basic sewing techniques, it's time to build on that foundation and take the next step - a more challenging project! We will continue to make fashion creations with an edge. In this course, you will learn how to put in sleeves properly, neckline finishing, basic zipper application, darts/princess seam line and fitting. Your project will be a top, or a simple dress.
Prerequisite: Beginner Sewing for Tweens or equivalent skill level. Materials: Students are required to bring their own pattern and fabric for the first class.

Fashion Creation For Tweens - Level 2
Collections
In this six week course we take our construction techniques to new levels. Students will learn to make a jacket, including the techniques of lining a garment, collars, shoulders and of course pockets.
Pre-requisite: Fashion Creation For Tweens Level 1. This class is a new version of the Tweens level 2 class. The focus is different from the previous Tweens Level 2 class.
Students will need to bring one pattern and their pre-washed fabric to the first class. There will be a lesson on how to choose matching fabrics and styles the first week.
